After working for a variety of businesses in Traverse City, including New Moon Records, WNMC FM and Bowers Harbor Inn, Bill Rockwood moved to Chicago in 1995 where he worked for the first full-scale "cybercafe" there, assisting patrons with the computers and serving up double iced mochas.

Bill took advantage of the opportunities that were presented to him while he was in Chicago, which resulted in him working for six different Internet Service Providers, while he only applied to work for three. This cycle of corporate big-fish-eat-little-fish syndrome led to Bill deciding he was better off back in Traverse City, so in late 2004, he returned.

Bill prefers UNIX. He uses Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS X, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. He designed and created this webpage with the vi text editor.
